An upcoming New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) event is set to feature a highly anticipated rematch starring AEW sensation Bryan Danielson. The announcement comes as Danielson, who revealed in September 2023 that he had just one year left as a full-time wrestler, continues to engage in dream matches ahead of transitioning into a part-time role.

In a thrilling showdown at AEW Wrestle Dream in October 2023, Danielson faced off against NJPW’s Zack Sabre Jr in a technical wrestling spectacle. Using his signature Busaiku Knee, Danielson emerged victorious, sparking controversy as Sabre Jr claimed the win was achieved through a cheap pinfall.

Fueling the rivalry, Sabre Jr recently issued a challenge for a rematch during the January 5 New Year Dash show. The date for this eagerly awaited rematch has now been confirmed, set to unfold at The New Beginning in Osaka on February 11, as officially announced by NJPW.

The promotion shared a preview of the match, describing it as a historic technical wrestling dream match taking place in Japan for the first time. The encounter promises a clash between Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr, with Sabre Jr aiming to prove his technical wrestling prowess by asserting that Danielson cannot make him tap out.

Danielson, who previously faced Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 18 and suffered a loss to the Rainmaker, will now seek redemption in this high-stakes rematch against Sabre Jr at The New Beginning in Osaka.
