Deonna Purrazzo Former Impact Knockouts Champion Set to Explore Free Agency Waters
According to an article from “Fightful Select,” Purrazzo will be a free agent from January 1. According to the report, no agreement with Impact has been signed and one of the reasons for this is that Purrazzo wants to look into her options in other promotions. The last time she will be in Promotions is on this Saturday’s Impact Wrestling Final Resolution tapings in Canada.
Sources who spoke to “Fightful” revealed there are no differences among Purrazzo with Impact Wrestling and the door is open to her return. Although there were images of her in support of her involvement in the Impact to TNA Wrestling name change, she’s not signing any contracts anytime soon due to her keenness to explore freedom of agency.
Purrazzo was signed to Impact Wrestling in 2020 after WWE released her in the summer of 2000, which brought to an end her two-year tenure at the organization. During her time at Impact she won the Knockouts title three times, and became named the Impact Knockouts Tag Team champion. Purrazzo was also champion in other promotions during her time with Impact. The champion was ROH women’s champion for 115 consecutive days, losing the title in the 4th of May 2022 episode on “AEW Dynamite” to Mercedes Martinez who was champion of the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion for 252 consecutive days.
This season, Purrazzo declared that would be willing to comeback back to WWE despite her previous run which left her with bitter tastes.
