Sonya Deville’s Absence in WWE Star Movie Role
The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sonya Deville has been offered the role of a upcoming film, despite her hiatus from wrestling.
Deville will portray the role of an officer for the police In “DNA Secrets”, a film produced by David Yates who’s known for creating the Dolphin Tale films.
According to Yates during an interview to his newspaper, the Tampa Bay Times, DNA Secrets will follow an owner of an antique shop who finds herself in the “heart of the mystery” concerning a variety of deaths which appear to be connected to the gifted DNA kits.
In an interview with 10 Tampa Bay about her role, Deville said:
“Obviously the bustle and hustle of the rush up and wait for cameras, the recollection of lines, having to always be prepared and so on is very similar.
“I must say that I really like the fact that in filmmaking, there is more than one shot.
“When you’re on Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown, it is live-live and that is it.”
Deville isn’t wrestling since Saturday, July 28, edition of SmackDown where she as well as Chelsea Green faced off against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair.
The team announced shortly after that Deville had sustained an injury to his ACL and was out for a while.
The accident resulted in Deville losing the Women’s Tag Team Championship, along with Piper Niven then joining forces with Chelsea Green.
