WWE’s WrestleMania 40: The Undertaker Faces Off Against Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns
The Undertaker Gives His Take on Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns WrestleMania 40 Match
WWE icon The Undertaker has chimed in on the anticipated main event clash at WrestleMania 40 featuring Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
Despite The Undertaker’s podcast episode for his Six Feet Under podcast being recorded prior to the recent developments from the WrestleMania 40 kickoff media event, his opinions still hold significance.
Discussing the segment where Cody Rhodes disclosed on WWE SmackDown his decision to effectively relinquish his WrestleMania 40 bout against Roman Reigns to The Rock, The Undertaker expressed empathy towards Rhodes.
The Undertaker said:
“I wanted to hear Cody’s promo. It was great. It was so good and I was so invested. When he said, ‘… just not at WrestleMania,’ my freaking heart sunk into my stomach because I knew at that moment what was about to happen.
“Believe me, money-wise, having The Rock at WrestleMania, brother, come on, against Roman who has been Champion for what, 13 years now? Samoan versus Samoan. It’s huge and it is what it is.”
Although the Undertaker would go on to praise Cody Rhodes for how he handled the situation in the moment.
Taker said:
“Knowing and being in that situation a couple of times myself during my career, for Cody to go out and to deliver the promo that he delivered last night, I felt for him.
“I felt that not in my stomach because, like I said, I had been there before, and he did it like a champ. He did it so professionally.”
While fans eagerly await further insights from The Undertaker on the WrestleMania 40 narrative, anticipation mounts for more appearances by The Rock.
It has been confirmed that The Rock will grace the Friday, February 16 edition of SmackDown. Given the night’s double taping, speculation arises that The Rock might make two appearances in the lead-up to the imminent premium live event, WWE Elimination Chamber.
