WWE superstar Charlotte Flair has conveyed a heartfelt message to her fans, friends, and family, accompanied by a photo from her hospital stay, after sustaining an injury during a recent WWE SmackDown match, leaving her potentially in need of surgery.

In a post-injury update, Charlotte Flair shared her sentiments:

“Dear Family, Friends, and Fans,

I want to express my deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support, beautiful messages, and the lovely flowers that have flooded in ?? Your encouragement has been my pillar during this challenging time. It took me several days, filled with countless tears, to come to terms with the situation. As someone who tends to overthink, this is the first instance where I’ve truly felt fear – fear of the unknown and the potential loss of what I hold dearest, my identity as an athlete. Revealing physical vulnerability is not my forte, and this experience has left me feeling exposed. It’s a journey I know will foster personal growth, albeit an unfamiliar one. This setback hit me hard mentally and, evidently, physically as I entered 2024. Reflecting on the rollercoaster that was 2023, I am striving to maintain a positive outlook, recognizing that perhaps this pause is an opportunity to regroup, rebuild, and ultimately triumph once more.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire SmackDown locker room this year. Every moment was cherished, and although I’ll be cheering from the sidelines, the camaraderie was truly special ??

While I’ve been accustomed to portraying the antagonist throughout my career, this year marked a departure from that norm. I embraced every hug, high-five, and fist pump, feeling an unprecedented comfort in my role as the ‘good guy’ ?? ? As a performer, I learned valuable lessons, and I am determined to resume my journey from where I left off.

I assure you; I will dedicate myself tirelessly over the next nine months to return as the most formidable version of the Queen you’ve ever witnessed.

On the December 8 SmackDown edition, Charlotte Flair faced defeat at the hands of Asuka, with interference from Damage CTRL’s Bayley. In the course of the match, Flair experienced a leg entanglement on the top rope, limping towards the conclusion before being escorted backstage by officials. It was subsequently announced on WWE SmackDown that she would be on a hiatus from in-ring action for the next nine months.
