Jinder Mahal’s Future and the Potential Clash with The Rock
After the recent “Day One” edition of WWE Raw, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal dropped hints about a potential future match with the legendary former multi-time WWE Champion, The Rock.
During the episode, The Rock made a sensational return to the company and engaged in an in-ring confrontation with Jinder Mahal. The segment climaxed with “The Great One” delivering his iconic People’s Elbow to Mahal.
Post the encounter, The Rock hinted at a potential face-off with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, “The Head of the Table” Roman Reigns.
Appearing on WWE’s The Bump, Jinder Mahal was questioned about The Rock’s actions and humorously responded, “He wanted to take away my spotlight [laughs]. That’s the only thing that I can think of.”
Elaborating further, he said, “He wanted to take away the spotlight. He saw that I was getting the spotlight. I was speaking the truth, I was speaking facts. I believe I didn’t say anything wrong. But there he is, the Great One. But I have a feeling this is not the last time me and The Rock will be in the ring together.”
Jinder Mahal is gearing up to challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the upcoming January 15 episode of Monday Night Raw.
In response to their on-screen interaction, The Rock also shared his thoughts on working with Jinder Mahal during the “Day One” segment.
