John Cena WWE Super Star Recognizes 16-Year-Old Sensation Luke Littler
The impact of the Luke Littler phenomenon is undeniably real, and it has now extended its influence to none other than the legendary WWE star and Hollywood actor, John Cena.
Littler garnered global attention over the past month due to his remarkable performance at the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship. Despite being just 16 years old, he reached the final, ultimately conceding the victory to the 28-year-old world rank #1, Luke Humphries.
Even as the runner-up, Littler’s feats became a wildfire, making him the first darts player to amass a million followers on Instagram. This achievement surpasses Michael Van Gerwen, who holds second place with approximately 450,000 followers.
Following the conclusion of the championship, Littler was featured on BBC Radio 1 in the UK. During the interview, he revealed that his choice of walk-on music, “Greenlight” by Pitbull, was inspired by its use as the theme for WrestleMania 33, an event he attended at the age of 10.
Prompted by this revelation, WWE extended an invitation for Littler to attend a live event in London on April 19, an offer that he graciously accepted. In his acceptance tweet, Littler shared a video from his childhood, showcasing his imitation of John Cena in his bedroom.
On January 10, John Cena himself acknowledged the teenage sensation with his trademark un-captioned post on Instagram.
