Saraya Reconnects with Former WWE Star Behind the Scenes at AEW Dynamite
Much like her AEW counterparts Bryan Danielson and Adam Copeland, Saraya, former AEW Women’s World Champion, is experiencing a rejuvenation in All Elite Wrestling. Initially forced into retirement due to a neck injury, Saraya made a comeback after a healing hiatus and joined AEW in 2022. Alongside her wrestling pursuits, Saraya has been able to reconnect with old friends thanks to AEW’s extensive cross-country touring schedule.
In recent images shared on X (formerly Twitter), Saraya emotionally reunited with her former WWE colleague Vix Crow, known as Alicia Fox during her time in WWE. The two had a longstanding partnership, sharing the ring over 75 times in “WWE NXT” and on the main roster, as documented by Cagematch.
Captioning the heartwarming reunion, Saraya wrote, “Sober sisters! So thrilled to be back with my girl [Vix Crow]. She remains as beautiful as ever and still possesses a heart of gold.”
Both Saraya and Crow have faced battles with addiction in the past. Crow publicly addressed her struggles with alcohol addiction in 2019, a turning point being an incident where she reportedly wrestled under the influence at a WWE house show. This incident resulted in the termination of longtime WWE producer Arn Anderson. Saraya also confronted addiction issues with drugs and alcohol during and after her WWE career. Notably, her journey to recovery became crucial, even saving her role in the major motion picture “Fighting With My Family.” Saraya, now in long-term recovery, attributes her transformed AEW persona to her newfound maturity, emphasizing her sobriety as a pivotal factor in reshaping her life and perspective.
