Carmelo Hayes Strikes Again: Targeting an Unsuspecting WWE Star

Following a tumultuous evening of wrestling action on this week’s NXT (February 6), Carmelo Hayes seized an opportunity to strike against an unwitting WWE star after the cameras stopped rolling.

Fresh off his dramatic showdown with former partner Trick Williams at NXT Vengeance Day, the ex-NXT Champion reveled in his triumph, much to the chagrin of the NXT faithful gathered at the WWE Performance Center.

Starting the show with a classic heel monologue, Melo justified his actions from the previous Sunday night and capped it off by declaring his intentions for the NXT Championship, punctuated by an assault on Ilja Dragunov. It was a night filled with hits for Melo, with hardly any misses.

But Melo’s night didn’t end when NXT went off the air. Footage shared on the WWE NXT Twitter account uncovered another incident involving the 29-year-old and an unsuspecting member of the NXT roster.

The unwitting victim was none other than Joe Gacy, who had just made an appearance with a boxing glove on a stick, a prop that had played a significant role in the main event match between Dragunov and Dijak moments earlier.

Clearly irked by Gacy’s antics, Melo pounced from behind, slamming him shoulder-first into the barricade, earning nothing but disdain from the live audience.

Fortunately, reminiscent of his demeanor after the Vengeance Day match, Gacy appeared unfazed by the assault, sporting an eerie smile as he lay on the ground.
