Former WWE Tag Team Set to Make a Comeback – Exciting Return in the Works for AOP

An article in the news has suggested an allegedly long-signed WWE tag team might be scheduled to finally make their return to television’soon’.

Could it be that this is actually happening? The long-rumored return of a couple to WWE may actually be heading to the television screen’soon’, according to a report.

According to a recent report by Fightful Select, WWE fans may be seeing their return to The Authors of Pain (AOP) Akam and Rezar in WWE.

Although the duo have been reported to have been re-signed by the company to stay for “at least a year and a half,” they have not yet made their screen debut.

Akam as well as Rezar first came together in June of 2016, and went on to become NXT Tag Team Champions and WWE Raw Tag Team Champions throughout their time with the WWE Raw company.

AOP was announced in September 2020 by WWE.

According to reports they are set to be back’soon and will likely to be part of SmackDown.

Another thing to note: it appears like they’re planning to return with another well-known name: Paul Ellering who appeared with the duo during their NXT performance.
