Rey Mysterio is an industry famous figure and one of the most famous luchadores who ever stepped foot into the WWE arena. It appears that he is planning to continue his legendary WWE run in the future, as Wrestling Observer is reporting that Mysterio has renewed his contract with WWE.

His Hall of Fame announcement was made just a few hours after news of his son’s contract renewal were announced. The father-son duo has an uneasy relationship that culminated in a showdown at Wrestlemania in the spring of this year. Mysterio was last in the ring during Dominik’s “NXT” North American Championship match against Dragon Lee, where he carried Lee into the arena, and then stayed in support of him.

Mysterio began his WWE debut back in 2002, and has been a regular on WWE programming since then, with the exception of an extended period of return to the independents from 2015 until 2018. The most memorable moments of his career include the 2006. Royal Rumble victory and subsequent world title triumph at WrestleMania 22.
