Sonya Deville, the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, has offered an insight into her ongoing journey of recovery from injury, shedding light on her challenges.

Back in August 2023, Deville endured a tough blow when she had to let go of her Women’s Tag Team Title due to a torn ACL.

Recently, the WWE star took to Instagram to give her followers a glimpse into her current routine outside the wrestling ring.

In a video shared on her Instagram, Deville showcased a training session, emphasizing her focus on jumping exercises during the filming.

Reflecting on her training session, she shared, “Today we did a lot of jumping which I’m not going to lie, was pretty daunting at first because my ACL is still recovering, and I don’t trust it that much. But once I did a couple of reps, I got the hang of it and was getting a lot more confident.”

She continued, “Actually, feeling pretty good about it. Then we did some agility footwork drills, which again were pretty awkward at first because my leg is not used to moving that fast. It felt pretty good once I got started.”

Deville’s last in-ring appearance dates back to almost eight months ago, on the July 28, 2023, edition of SmackDown, where she teamed up with Chelsea Green in an unsuccessful bout against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair.

Despite her injury setback, Deville’s resilience shines through as she continues her journey of recovery, showcasing determination and optimism.
