Amid earlier speculation questioning the authenticity of a teaser, William Regal, in his first WWE appearance since parting ways with AEW last year, confirmed the involvement of NXT’s Charlie Dempsey in an upcoming All Japan Pro Wrestling event on January 3, 2024.

In a rare on-camera appearance since his transition from AEW back to WWE, William Regal, who happens to be Charlie Dempsey’s real-life father, proudly conveyed the news on behalf of NXT. The announcement confirmed that Charlie Dempsey would be representing NXT at the All Japan Pro Wrestling show in January.

Making his public statement as Dempsey’s father for the first time, Regal expressed pride in sending his talented son to Japan, showcasing that ‘real European wrestling’ is thriving.
