WWE NXT Replacement Commentator Unleashes Vengeance Day: Wade Barrett Takes Center Stage

The stand-in commentator for WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2024 has just been unveiled.

In a recent update on February 4, WWE NXT commentator Booker T shared the unfortunate news that he won’t be able to participate in the brand’s inaugural Premium Live Event of 2024: NXT Vengeance Day. Booker took to Twitter to inform his followers that he would be absent from tonight’s event and the subsequent couple of weeks of NXT TV due to a necessary medical procedure. In his tweet, Booker assured everyone that he’s doing well and will be back in action on @WWENXT in no time, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from his fans.

Now, a new development reveals the replacement commentator during Booker’s absence, and it’s none other than SmackDown’s Wade Barrett.

Corey Brennan of Fightful broke the news on Twitter, stating, “I’ve been told Wade Barrett will be on the call tonight for #NXTVengeanceDay.” Although it’s not confirmed whether Barrett’s role will extend to NXT TV until Booker’s return, Brennan reassured fans that Barrett is well-acquainted with the NXT commentary booth. He previously partnered with Vic Joseph for two years between August 2020 and October 2022.

It isn’t clear at this time if Wade will be Booker’s replacement until Booker returns to TV.
