At this week’s NXT Roadblock event on March 5, a significant shift occurred as a WWE star embraced their darker side, marking their first step into becoming a heel character.

The night was filled with electrifying action, featuring the much-anticipated showdown between SmackDown’s Kabuki Warriors and the formidable duo of NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria & Tatum Paxley, who challenged for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Despite Valkyria and Paxley putting up a valiant effort, their lack of experience as a team ultimately cost them the victory, allowing Asuka and Kairi Sane to retain their titles.

However, the spotlight shifted dramatically after the match when NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria fell victim to a brutal assault by her recent adversary Roxanne Perez.

Perez, who had been toeing the line between hero and villain in recent months, seemed to fully embrace her dark side with the intensity of her attack on Valkyria.

In her first statement since turning heel, Perez admitted to the wrongdoing of her actions but also expressed a twisted sense of satisfaction in them. Taking to Twitter, Perez wrote:

“Did something bad, but why’s it feel so good?”

As fans eagerly await the repercussions of Perez’s actions, speculation arises about a potential rematch between her and Valkyria at NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday, April 6.
