Anticipated Nine-Month Hiatus for WWE Star Charlotte Flair

As per the commentary for Tonight’s WWE SmackDown, Charlotte Flair is scheduled to be out of action for several months after suffering an injury.

In the episode on December 8 of SmackDown, Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair in a flurry of distractions from Damage CRL’s Bayley.

In during the fight, Flair got her leg trapped in the rope at the top. She was seen moving her leg towards the end of the stretch, before being led backstage by officials and other personnel.

As reported previously, WWE announced that Charlotte was taken off the next weekend’s live shows.

The announcement now comes with confirmation Charlotte Flair has suffered an injury to her knee. She will be out for “nine months”.

In the other ring on tonight’s SmackDown Mia Yim as well as Asuka will take on one another to the first time for more than 10 years in tag team battles.

Michin Mia and Zelina Vega and Michin Mia Yim took the stage with Asuka Zelina Vega and Asuka Kairi Sane. They were being referred to by the Kabuki Warriors after they reverted to their former tag team’s name.

In a video that was pre-taped by Damage CTRL, Bayley pledged that the group was looking for gold for each member, including her plans to target the WWE Raw‘s Rhea Ripley after she won Rhea Ripley’s title at the Royal Rumble.
