Changes Implemented in AEW Worlds End Match

There seems to be a modification to the announced match for this Saturday’s AEW Worlds End pay-per-view event.

Originally, it was stated that AEW World Tag Team Champions Big Bill and Ricky Starks would defend their titles against the Golden Jets tag team of Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega at Worlds End on December 30.

However, due to Omega’s absence caused by Diverticulitis, Jericho had to locate a substitute tag team partner for the potential title match.

On the latest episode of Dynamite, it appeared that Sammy Guevara would fill that role, as Jericho rescued him from a 3-on-1 assault by the Don Callis Family. Subsequently, they faced an attack from Big Bill and Starks, with Sting and Darby Allin coming to their aid.

This sequence set the stage for what was then announced as an eight-man tag team match, featuring Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Sting, and Darby Allin facing off against Big Bill, Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Kyle Fletcher.

Although the match was officially confirmed, there seems to be a recent alteration. Today on Twitter, AEW shared a new graphic for the match, this time featuring Konosuke Takeshita instead of Kyle Fletcher. This change appears to confirm that Takeshita will replace Fletcher in the match, representing the Don Callis Family.
