Finn Bálor and Damian Priest Secure Tag Title Victory in WWE Raw Showdown
In a thrilling main event on “WWE Raw,” Finn Balor and Damian Priest, collectively known as The Judgment Day, successfully defended their Undisputed Tag Team Championships against Julius and Brutus Creed. The Creeds had earned their title shot by triumphing in the Tag Team Turmoil Match the previous month on a special episode of “Raw,” overcoming tough competition from the likes of New Day, Indus Sher, DIY, Imperium, and Alpha Academy.
As the match unfolded, the intensity escalated from the start when Julius and Balor initiated the brawl. However, chaos ensued as all four men battled fiercely in the arena. The Creed Brothers initially dominated The Judgment Day, showcasing their prowess. The tide turned when Priest took control by hurling Julius into the steel steps and later tossing Brutus across the announcers’ table.
Throughout the match, the Creeds continued their relentless offensive, attempting their signature move, The Brutus Ball. Rhea Ripley, accompanying one of the teams along with Ivy Nile, played a pivotal role outside the ring. In a surprising turn of events, Nile not only thwarted Ripley’s interference but also caused a distraction by sending Ripley face-first into the arena apron.
Despite the Creeds managing to execute the Brutus Ball, Balor intervened with his Coup De Grace, breaking the pin attempt. Priest capitalized on the opportunity and successfully executed South of Heaven on Julius, securing the pinfall and the victory for The Judgment Day.
This clash marked the Creeds’ first shot at gold on the main roster, having previously been tag team champions in “WWE NXT“. While the commentary acknowledged their impressive history, they positioned the Creeds as future tag team champions despite the defeat. Meanwhile, Priest and Balor, in their second title defense since reclaiming the Undisputed Tag Team Championships, have proven their mettle by successfully fending off challenges, including a notable victory against Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes in October.
