WWE Star Grayson Waller Confronts Detroit Politician Amid Trolling
WWE sensation Grayson Waller didn’t hold back when expressing his thoughts on Detroit. Taking to Twitter before a WWE show in the city, Waller wrote, “After the festive season, it’s nice to be brought back to reality performing in the absolute dregs of the US in Detroit ?.” Little did he know that a Michigan state senator would fire back!
State Senator Dayna Polehanki, who happened to be in attendance, responded on Twitter: “Here we go!!! My first ever WWE Live. Grayson Waller insulting Detroit! Jabroni! #wwedetroit.” Speaking to the Detroit News, Senator Polehanki explained that she felt compelled to clap back on behalf of her state.
Despite the senator’s response, Waller posted a humorous video describing the event as “a crazy night” and managed to slip in another insult: “Getting to perform in the home of a historic basketball team, the Detroit Pistons — the most games lost in a row. This place sucks.”
While Waller may make an appearance on tomorrow night’s WWE SmackDown, it won’t follow the typical live show format. The December 29 episode, hosted by Jackie Redmond and Corey Graves, is set to be a ‘Best of 2023’ episode.
