WWE's Power Player: Vince McMahon Stays Put with Unwavering Influence and Continued Leadership

Endeavor the CEO Ari Emanuel is taking a different approach to WWE as well as Vince McMahon, unlike he did with Dana White as UFC President by making sure he is on board and in the helm.

Changes

Triple H is the one responsible for driving 99.9 percent of WWE creative direction. McMahon isn’t currently involved in creative work since Emanuel made the decision to have Triple H stay in charge of the creative process without interference from McMahon making last-minute adjustments.

In the last month, McMahon sold $700 million in TKO stock. These 8.4 million shares that were sold represented about 25 percent of McMahon’s shares in TKO. The sale prompted some to ask about McMahon’s longevity with WWE.

The report

Sports Illustrated reported today that they received confirmation from sources from WWE that McMahon is not planning to quit the WWE. McMahon was reportedly required to keep the money in liquid form, which is why the company sold a large portion of his shares. It’s not clear why he needed the cash.

Additionally, sources said McMahon does not plan to leave the company, and “McMahon still wields great power in the company.”

McMahon’s collaboration with Emanuel is positive following the decision to allow Triple H to be in charge of creativity and non-interference.
