Tonight’s AEW Dynamite, there was a mention of the current WWE superstar CM Punk’s injury in real life during an in-ring promotion.

In a fairly long promo in the ring, Wardlow laid out his argument for why he was an not-so-popular AEW star.

While pointing out that he was only genuine native AEW star He made references to his former rivals without giving them names.

One of them was CM Punk as he noted that he beat the “Best of the Best’ in the world so severely in their fight the body of his in pain from the aftermath of the beating

“Let’s examine some of the athletes who have won (the AEW World Championship )… “The top on earth’ the “real heavyweight champion” I knocked him down unlike anyone else throughout his entire career. The body of his is still deteriorating from my defeat.”

CM Punk was injured by a torn triceps muscle during his very first WWE TV match in 10 years, at in 2024 at the Royal Rumble.

Despite the accident, Punk went on to win the match, only to lose to his eventual champion and famous AEW Alumnus, Cody Rhodes.

In the same promo, Wardlow also took aim at the former AEW World Champion MJF and the current champion, Samoa Joe.
