Dustin Rhodes Challenges Christian Cage for AEW Dynamite TNT Championship

In the opening contest of the latest AEW Dynamite episode on January 17, a historic showdown unfolded between Christian Cage and Dustin Rhodes.

Putting the TNT Championship on the line in the first of three featured matches, Christian Cage faced off against the seasoned professional wrestling legend, Dustin Rhodes.

Dustin Rhodes aimed to seize the TNT Championship, but as is customary, Christian Cage was not alone in his defense.

Beyond the challenge of confronting Christian Cage inside the ring, Dustin Rhodes also had to contend with the presence of Nick Wayne and Killswitch (formerly known as Luchasaurus) at ringside.

Surprisingly, despite their attempts to interfere in the match, it was the accompanying duo who found themselves on the receiving end of impactful moves from Rhodes outside the ring.

The match, captivating from start to finish and marked by the crowd’s excitement over near falls, culminated with Christian Cage successfully retaining the TNT Championship.

Post-match, in a backstage segment, Swerve Strickland engaged in an interview with Renee Paquette, confidently stating that he has eyes everywhere in AEW.
