AEW’s Current Champion Faces Visa Woes

In a setback for the wrestling world, a current champion in AEW finds himself unable to compete on the American stage due to visa complications.

Kyle Fletcher, who clinched the ROH Television Championship at ROH Final Battle in December, is currently grappling with visa issues, rendering him unable to partake in matches for either AEW or Ring of Honor. The title had been left vacant by Samoa Joe before Fletcher secured it.

Having thrown his lot in with the Don Callis Family in recent times, Fletcher’s absence from the ring has been conspicuous since his clash with Chris Jericho on Dynamite at the end of January.

Sources from Fightful Select indicate that Fletcher’s visa problems have put him on the sidelines, interrupting what had been a promising singles run following his partner Mark Davis’ injury layoff.

Prior to these unforeseen circumstances, AEW management had been pleased with Fletcher’s contributions and were reportedly lining him up for a showdown with Ethan Page over the ROH Television Championship.

Sadly, Fletcher isn’t the sole AEW Champion facing adversity, with both ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta and AEW TBS Champion Julia Hart currently sidelined due to injuries.
